Primary 2
The Primary 2 Course is a unique four-year keyboard-based program of weekly group lessons designed to give your child the best possible start in developing the necessary music skills.
Students of the Primary 2 beginner's course will complete books 1 to 2 of the first year. Emphasis is placed on ear training and developing a sound rhythmic sense, and playing will be taught in class. In the second year, students will proceed to Primary 3. Graduates of the Primary Course advance to the Junior Extension Course (JXC), where the skills are refined with an emphasis on keyboard performance, singing, sight playing, ensemble work, and music composition.

- Four-Year Junior Music/Extension Course for 4 & 5-year-old beginners
- A keyboard/piano is required at home for practicing.
- Students learn basic music concepts and keyboarding skills through Hear-Sing-Play-Read-Create
- The Primary 2 Course follows the Yamaha Music Curriculum and is offered internationally in 40 countries.
Achievement Level
Primary 3: complete Fundamental Skill Survey (FSS)
Extension 1: complete Yamaha Grade 10 Exam
Extension 2: complete Yamaha Grade 9 Exam
